A little about Megan, she is coached by FBHS Islay Auty in which she has been in the back seat of Debdale over 32 years as Islay Also taught Kate. Megan is Level 3 BHS, she has also.
competed since 4yrs old to where Megan is now competing at high level of showing like Horse of Year Show, Royal Windsor Horse Show and The Royal International Horse Show with all her own produced horses in which she has 8 of her own.
Although Megan, is often found organising the array of lessons, training our Girls, doing the admin, marketing, and everything in between as well as competing her own horses.
You will often find Megan somewhere on the yard doing Maintenance work.
As a child, Megan was always in the background of her mom running the riding school and with being a child on the yard surrounded by horses and friends creating many fond memories within a happy place, Megan wants Debdale Riding School to have that same feeling brought to you of a safe, enjoyable, support mechanism that we would call our second home to escape reality for all children and adults today.
Megan truly believes Debdale Riding school and you the customer is her top priority of ensuring your goals and achievements are met weather that be just getting in the saddle for a peaceful mind and enjoying the therapeutic side of our horses or advancing you to competing our horses within our events and being able to be efficient in the saddle when riding.
Megan strongly wants to be able to give not only her team the knowledge and education but also you the customer on the understanding of our horses within and out the saddle in which she will always out do herself in bringing this over to you the customers and her team.
Instructor
Katie has been a part of our Debdale team for over 25 years. In which she has grown to know Debdale inside and out. Katie Started off with having lessons at just 4 years old, to now, teaching you our customers, Katie had worked her way up the ranks at Debdale, you will find Katie teaching private lessons and group Lessons on a Sunday. Katie also teaches during the week on private lessons and our ladies group on a Wednesday in which I can vouch is defiantly a fantastic time for our ladies, she also in the week makes sure our horses are kept in tip top condition! Katie has owned 2 horses while being here at Debdale, her is a little bit about herself.
I currently own Pumba, who actually used to be on the riding school, but unfortunately, she has COPD so I took her under my wing and she is thriving having a light work/semi-retired life! I got into riding because for as long as I can remember my family has always been into horses, so I definitely took that gene! My mum used to ride at Debdale as a child, so she took me as a 4-year-old and here I am! Still here!
I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! Debdale is like a second home! So much so, I spent so much time there that when I left college, I luckily got a call asking me to come in for a trail shift, I was over the moon for this as Kate saw something in me in which didn’t which was over 10 years ago now and since then my confidence and knowledge has grown profoundly! Katie has been teaching adults and children of all ages for over 8 years now and is known widely for her kind, sympathetic, Enthusiastic, and professional approach to teaching.
Instructor
Jess has been working at Debdale for roughly 8 years now, on the weekends she teaches the group lessons on Saturdays and private/ lead lessons on Sundays and during the week.
Jess takes part in the general maintenance of the yard along with being part of the breaking in process of new ponies and caring for our riding school.
Little bit about Jess; I have 3 horses on the yard Penny who she has loaned from the riding school since 2018, Cherry and my newest member Morgan who I bought in September 2023 and is only 2 years old and who I plan to produce myself and take along to shows. I have been riding for over 17 years now and have had many different experiences along the way and had Meg and her mom Kate guide me through my years at Debdale to where I have the confidence, skill and knowledge today to teach many different capabilities of riders.

Jordan is the back seat of keeping Megan sane, in which he is Megan's Partner. He’s always making sure all the nitty gritty jobs are well Underway at Debdale, with also keeping the things you wouldn’t Think of ticking along, Jordan also has a huge part in supporting Megans success Of her showing in which hes Megans right hand and the backbone of cheering her onto achieve her dreams, you wouldn’t think but he certainly has got some knowledge along the way.

Lauren has been a part of Debdale for 6 years now in which she had started as a customer herself. Lauren grew to become fond of our horses and got on with our staff in which became a weekly schedule of her being with our team, Lauren has gradually worked her way into the steps of being where she is today at Debdale, in which you will find her teaching Lead lessons/ private of all ages and abilities on a Sunday.
Here's a little about Lauren; I have owned horses for a long time but never had the confidence to ride, I had been told some amazing stuff about Debdale through the horse community and family so I decided to visit. That day the staff was so welcoming and assured me that I would be fine to ride, and they would help me with my confidence along the way, I got to know the staff and the horses and loved every minute of it, so much so that I rought my own horse Khan to the yard to join the Debdale family too! I would help with the riding school as much as I could but always wanted to teach and pass on the knowledge that Debdale taught me to you guys and help build people's confidence the way they did to me years ago. Then one day that dream became a reality, and an opportunity came up for me to work and I've never looked back, I love every minute of teaching you all and will continue to do so.
Lauren is known for her mother hen personality to all our staff girls, and younger generation customers in which she’s always caring, kind and welcoming to all.

Libby, has grown up through Debdale to where she is today in which she teaches lead rein/ Private lessons on a Saturday here is a little about herself;
I am a horse-riding instructor at Debdale specialising in lead and private lessons for all ages and abilities. I have been a member of the Debdale staff team since 2021 but have been a part of Debdale from the start of my horse-riding journey in 2015 as a customer myself until progressing to a livery after buying my first horse, Malik and I couldn’t imagine keeping him anywhere else. Malik and I enjoy a variety of disciplines and have fun taking up new challenges and adventures such as competing in local shows and fun ride events. I see my job as not only a title, but to inspire riders of all ages to take up the reins and start their equestrian journey because “in riding a horse, we borrow freedom”.
Libby is one of our girls to Debdale in which she is Widley known for her upbeat, friendly, knowledgeable approach in teaching to be able to allow you to achieve you to push yourself beyond your belief.

Natalie has grown up through Debdale to where she is today in which she teaches lead rein/ Private lessons on a Saturday here is a little about herself; I currently teach lead lessons on a weekend and have worked here for 4 years. I first started having riding lessons at Debdale 8 years ago. After some time, I was lucky enough to loan Sam, one of our riding school horses for a year before buying my own horse Toby, 4 years ago. Toby was uneducated and very nervous before I had him, so he was a challenge to begin with both under the saddle and on the ground. Toby has turned into my best friend and biggest achievement as I have educated him myself with the support of the yard and I wouldn’t have him any other way, quirks, and all! Toby and I love getting out and about doing unaffiliated showing, dressage tests, lots of hacking through our local woods and further afield, and over the winter we have been focusing on cross country jumps at arena hires.
Natalie is one of our girls to Debdale in which she is Widley known for her kind, gentle approach in teaching to be able to allow you to achieve your goals and aspirations within the saddle.

Emmie has been a part of Debdale for 4 yrs now, in which she started as ground staff and Worked her way through with the knowledge and guidance of Kate, Emmie is found teaching lead lessons on a Sunday, she has huge compassion toward the horses and you the customer, Emmie is known as the most caring patient, fun giving confidence giver within her lessons to all ages of children. Emmie has loaned a huge handful of a horse in which has also given her more knowledge to bring to you the customer in the saddle, Emmie always has an input in which she wants to ensure you the customer come’s away with enjoying your lesson but ensuring you have learnt something along the way under her wing.

Amelia has been a part of Debdale for 9 years now in which she has worked her way up through the guidance of Kate and Megan. Amelia has been pushed beyond her expectations to where she works with individuals and mainly beginners for teaching them how to ride horses, she is found giving lessons on a Saturday. Amelia started her journey here with us as a customer herself in which she learnt to ride here since she was 10 yrs of age, she grown fondly to meet all our horses in which she caught the bug of wanting her own, to where she progressed to having 2 of her own horses in which having one extremely handful horse called naughty Norman, her knowledge and experience has been extremely pushed and she has gained so much from owning her own 2 horses in which she does lateral work, showing and a bit of hacking now and again. Amelia’s knowledge is very a wide range from learning to ride a difficult horse in which she understands how to bring the understanding feeling forward to you the customer, she is also known for her kind, soft approach of bring her guidance of confidence in any situation to your lessons.

Rhiannon teaches lead/private lessons on a Sunday As well as being an instructor she also does some groundwork.
Hers a little about Rhiannon: I have 3 horses of my own, the first is a 12-year-old 13’3 black cob cross welsh section d, due to him having some anxiety issues, My second one is a rising 3-year-old piebald traditional cob who me and my brother rescued as an 11-month-old. I am currently starting his education to get him ready to start his education under saddle in which I currently do lots of groundwork with him.
My third is a 15’3, 11-year-old skewbald Irish sports horse who was originally rescued by my friend’s mum. I brought her almost 2 years ago, I got in to riding as my mom owned horses beforehand. My parents then brought my first horse who I shared with my siblings at first when I was 5 years old, since then I have been around horses for as long as I can remember.
I started my job at Debdale since being there through my work experience, I grew fond of the atmosphere of Debdale and the horses there to where I really got stuck into my work experience in which Kate and Megan saw potential in my work ethic and knowledge towards horses, I was offered a job here in which I haven’t looked back, to where I want to bring my horse knowledge and love for horses to you the customer. Rhiannon is known for her soft caring approach to you the customer and all for making your lessons fun while learning.
Ground Staff
Isla is one of our younger girls in which you will find her working on Sunday as ground staff here is a little about isla; I have worked at Debdale for two years now and started off having a lesson once a week as a customer and doing stable club on a weekend, I had always looked up to the older girls in which I knew I would need to work up the ladder to be where I want to be a part of Debdale I had slowly worked my way up to where I would work as ground staff on a Sunday, i have 2 of my own horses in which I bought my first horse in 2021 (sherry) I also have Oreo who i broke him in myself in august last year. I love working with horses and have so much passion for my job I want to give you the customers the same enjoyable experience I had while being around Debdale. You will recognise Isla who is the most sympathetic, kindest, hardworking girls of Debdale and to find her will always be ooking after the riding school ensuring all ponies and horses here are well looked after and cared for Isla will also be found jumping on for lessons.
Ground Staff
Gracie is one of our younger girls in which you will find her working on Saturday as ground staff here is a little about Gracie, I’ve been working at Debdale doing groundwork for 2 years now. I have my own horse called buddy who was previously in the riding school in which I took out around a year ago when i found my confidence with him. I’ve always had a passion for horses since i was young, my passion was to always work with horses when i found Debdale I knew this was my favourite place to start my journey in bringing joy and smiles to you the customer. You will recognise Gracie and find her always looking after the riding school ensuring all ponies and horses here are well looked after and cared for Gracie is also known for her upbeat, kind generous spirit in which she brings to you the customer while she is jumping on for Lessons.
John has been a part of Debdale since it’s established you can sure say hes part of the furniture, Johns knowledge towards the horses in impeccable,hes been riding for decades and has a big part in riding
our horses and keeping them fit, his passion and kind heart goes a long way to our horses. John is found helping in the week with keeping our horses looked after and happy, our horses certainly know who
Uncle John is! He is also found doing maintenance jobs that the horses love to cause havoc for John.
